Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 . She was was raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). As a youngster, Britney attended dance classes and excelled in gymnastics. She won numerous competitions and the like. Britney was an excellent singer and dancer. Britney was only 8 years old when she tried to join The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), however her age was a factor to her being rejected. It led her to an off Broadway show, "Ruthless", for two years as the main character. At 11 years old, she attempted a second time to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). It was a different time, she was one of the mouseketeers along with other current stars, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. However, her most notable break was in the latter part of the 1990s when she was signed to be a Jive Recording Artist. Britney was a huge hit following her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby another time" in 1999. The album sold 13 million copies (as as of July 2001) and her second album "Oops !...I did it Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and has a big brother, Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was the daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to be a star. Britney auditioned to The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television when she was just 8. But she was too young for the part. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in several TV advertisements and an off-Broadway play, "Ruthless", where she was a student of Natalie Portman. A few years later, her love of dance and music began to take over. Britney auditioned once more to be on "Mickey Mouse" and was chosen along with Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
