Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis Greek pronunciation (born on October 1 1969): American comedian, musician, comedian and writer. He was a performer, comedian and host of Late World with Zach (VH1) Galifianakis has been a star in a variety of films that include The Hangover Trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010). The Campaign (2012), Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance (2014), and Masterminds (2016). He voiced characters in animated films such as Puss in Boots (2011), The Lego Batman Movie (2017), Missing Link (2019), and Ron's Gone Wrong (2021). Galifianakis is currently hosting the Funny or Die website talk show Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. He was also a part of the FX series Baskets. In the year 2017 the show was nominated for win the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actor for an Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis was born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, on October 1, 1969. The son of community center manager Mary Frances (nee Cashion) and heating oil merchant Harry Galifianakis. His mother is Scottish-Irish and English descent, and his paternal grandparents were Greek immigrants from Crete. His father was an Greek Orthodox Christian and he was baptized. He is the father of Merritt and his younger sister as well as Greg the older brother of his. The cousin of his Nick Galifianakis (Washington Post cartoonist) is his uncle. Galifianakis was a student at Wilkes Central High School. He then attended North Carolina State University and majored in communications. Galifianakis interned at a local radio station in college. He taught a waltz course in 1991 where he crossed paths with Mary J. Blige. Following his debut on television Boston Common, Galifianakis joined Saturday Night Live for two weeks. Galifianakis stated that he worked for Saturday Night Live for two week and Britney Spears was the host for one of those episodes.
